matt and ena’s 1st anniversary!

Wow! One year has come and gone, and it’s time to celebrate one year since the union of Matt and Ena [:

The wedding was a mix of cultures and it’s heartening to see people from various countries come together to celebrate the love between two people from opposite ends of the world [:

Matt comes from a British family, and somehow fate brought him to this little red dot where he eventually met Ena, the love of his life <3

Although they have different upbringings, it’s easy to see how much in love they are with each other despite their cultural difference [:

This wedding was one of the longest chief meh meh had the privilege of shooting (total of 14 hours’ with 2.5 hours break in between) but it was every bit of fun – totally worth the exhaustion we felt at the end of the night.

The day started with preparation and a solemnisation ceremony followed by a traditional Malay ceremony, then ended with a western dinner rounded off by speeches and plenty of dancing. The couple sure have some slick moves!

Chief meh meh was really touched by the speeches – it must be heart-wrenching for Matt’s parents knowing their son was settling down thousands of miles away from their home country, but yet it was mixed with the pride that their son had found his love and had made his own in an unfamiliar place [‘:

Congrats on your first anniversary, Matt and Ena!

P.S. Doesn’t the groom look like Tom Hiddleston (aka Loki of Avengers fame)? d:

eng seang+daphne full highlights

Eng Seang and Daphne share a long history together, and it was a joy-filled occasion when they were finally united as man and wife. Throughout the day (as well as before and after the wedding), chief meh meh experienced their sincerity and generosity to all [:

The wedding was filled with special touches that spoke volumes about Eng Seang and Daphne. From their humourous wedding programme/paper fan, to the photo frames (gorgeous pre-wedding shots by Ivan Tan) with “rules” for a great marriage, to the impromptu newspaper-reading, chief meh meh could tell this was a couple who loved and lived and laughed.

During the banquet, they were a number of speeches – by the bride’s dad, her best friend, the bride’s mentor and the couple themselves. In the midst of the humour, the love that the couple shared was evident and chief meh meh could barely contain her laughter and tears of sentiment [‘:

As chief meh meh was getting married a few months after the couple, they graciously offered to lend her their traditional chinese wedding costumes without a hint of hesitation [:

Thank you Eng Seang and Daphne for being nothing but kind to chief meh meh and bluesheep, and for being people we are blessed to know for many years to come! We love you both! [:
